Job Description: The Catering Event Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and follow-up of various catering events. This role is critical in ensuring that each event runs smoothly and meets our high standards of quality and service.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with clients to understand their event needs and preferences.
- Design event concepts and plan menus in collaboration with our culinary team.
- Manage all event logistics, including venue preparation, staff scheduling, equipment rental, and setup.
- Oversee the execution of events, ensuring timely delivery and service of food and beverages.
- Handle any client concerns or special requests during events.
- Supervise and train catering staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
- Manage event budgets and maintain financial records.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and customer preferences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in event management, preferably in the catering or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage large teams.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in MS Office and event management software.
- Availability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
